A Play Day

Princess Mummy and Little Prince have had a very busy day today.  Up early as Prince Daddy had an early shift, we then napped for most of the morning.  Or at least one of us did!  I purposely didn’t take my stimulant tablets so we could cuddle up.  Not as much fun as you might think!  Little Prince might be affectionate and snuggly when awake, but asleep he claims bed with all the grace and compassion of a gang claiming new turf!
So I abandoned the starfish wannabe and took my newly developed bruises off to start cleaning up!
The bonus to this is that this afternoon we have been able to play the pan drums. 2 of my good pans, one pressure cooker and assorted wooden utensils.  We made enough noise to raise the dead with the banging and the singing.  Little Prince definitely inherited his musical talent from me-he’s tone deaf! Prince Daddy might not be the next Walrus of Love but he can at least carry a tune.
I’d feel a bit sorry for the people downstairs (a betting office) but the noise level emanating up from their TVs and gaming machines mean that I struggle to find my social conscience.  The noise is clear enough that Little Prince learned a few new choice phrases which he tested out for the first time on his long suffering Nanna.  Luckily she understands and supports us on stamping it out.  As a result of this, however, I struggle to have any sympathy with the people downstairs (although we do try to limit the noise in general)
And the afternoon is yet to come.  Prince Daddy will be home soon to pick up the baton as Princess Mummy heads for an Epic Bath!

  1. At least living over a betting office means you don't get the noise at night time. I wouldn't worry about disturbing them, pan bashing should be compulsary for all children!

  3. Oh, that's harsh - I assumed they shut at about 5 pm. Definitely don't worry about the pan bashing!
